About The Position

The role of the Sr. Analyst is accountable for month end close responsibilities of ensuring timely close including the preparation/review of journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations. The analyst will assist with monthly balance sheet and P&L analytics, and will have ownership of various processes surrounding Marketing, Wholesale, Royalties, and Obsolescence activities ensuring compliance with GAAP. The role also involves assisting with preparation and compilation of the quarterly global reporting decks including a balance sheet and P&L flux analysis in close partnership with the regional controllers and FP&A teams. Additionally, the analyst will support the global store impairment analysis, work closely with FP&A and other business partners to understand business initiatives and the accounting impact thereof, ensure compliance with SOX requirements, and assist with requests from internal and external auditors. The position requires driving efficiencies by continuously challenging current thinking and evaluating processes and systems to ensure operations and control environments are efficient and effective, as well as handling special projects and ad hoc reporting as requested from internal and external businesses.

Requirements

  • B.S. or M.S. in Accounting
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or in process of obtaining CPA
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent team player who works well in a collaborative environment
  • Attention to detail and delivery focused
  • Self-starter with a strong desire to learn and take on additional responsibilities
  • Ability to multi-task and strong organizational skills
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft platforms (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

  • Big 4 Experience or Public Accounting with Retail Experience
  • Experience with SAP S4/Hana, BPC, PBCS, Microstrategy
