About The Position

The Sr Analyst, Airport Safety and Risk Management at American Airlines is responsible for overseeing change management and safety assurance processes related to customer experience and airport operations. This role involves identifying issues, developing mitigation strategies, and improving existing processes that impact Ground Operations, Gate Operations, and Cargo Operations. The analyst will track key performance indicators, collaborate with various departments, manage safety audits, and represent the company at industry conferences.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience/training.
• Experience in change management.
• Knowledge of FAA and ICAO standards regarding SMS.

Responsibilities

• Tracks key performance indicators and hazards within the customer experience SMS.
• Collaborates with policy & procedures departments to ensure safety policies are updated.
• Initiates continuous improvement activities, including training and procedures for airport operations personnel.
• Manages internal and external safety audits and interfaces with departments regarding safety and certification.
• Assists with Regulatory Compliance and conducts meetings for systemic regulatory issues.
• Conducts quality reviews of SMS documentation and provides feedback for improvement.
• Represents the company at industry conferences.
