About The Position

The Senior Financial Analyst will play a key role in supporting the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for Yum D&T. This position will focus primarily on accounting for contractor capitalization and accruals while supporting the overall capital expenditure (capex) tracking process. As an analyst you will ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and provide essential support to cross-functional teams. You will be required to attend the Louisville, KY office three days per week (Tuesday - Thursday) . Salary Range: $89,300- $96,000 + bonus eligibility. This is the expected salary range for this position. Ultimately, in determining pay, we'll consider the successful candidate’s location, experience, and other job-related factors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent preferred.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in financial analysis, accounting, or related roles.
  • Strong technical accounting skills, with demonstrated experience in capex and contractor accounting.
  • Experience with Oracle JDEdwards, ReportsNow, and Hyperion Financial Management (HFM).
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with international operations is a plus.
  • Experience with the Monday.com platform and capabilities, is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Drive accurate and timely reporting of YUM D&T financial results including period entries, accruals, plan versus forecast analysis, legal entity reporting, and monthly and quarterly management reporting. Includes preparing quarterly analytical comments for Balance Sheet Book and MD&A.
  • Lead the accounting and tracking for contractor capitalization and accruals, ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
  • Support the end-to-end capex tracking process for Byte products, including data collection (via Monday.com), analysis, and reporting.
  • Coordinate closely with Yum D&T finance and control teams to execute daily tasks and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Support of international D&T legal entities, including A/P accrual analysis and payroll review, investigating and resolving discrepancies promptly.
  • Prepare and review schedules and reports for monthly, quarterly, and annual closes, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Support Ad hoc projects, requests, or analysis as needed from various departments. (e.g. R&D credits analysis, Fixed Asset roll-forwards, accelerated depreciation analysis, Internal/External audit workings, impairment analysis)
  • Contribute to process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and transparency in financial operations.
