About the Role: CrowdStrike is looking for a Data Scientist and AI researcher with a deep understanding of Generative Models, training and fine tuning the models for various kinds of predictive or generative tasks. This person should have strong foundational knowledge of various Generative AI model architectures. He/She should be able to demonstrate via experience and projects, practical and applied knowledge towards practical capabilities and product features. Deep understanding of various LLM concepts like RAG, AI Workflows, Agentic AI, AI Agents, AI Agent Frameworks, MCP, A2A is required. The candidate should be able to understand the requirements, research possible solutions, prototype and implement scalable, performant and code for the requirement. The candidate should have expert level knowledge of Python and frameworks like PyTorch. The candidate should have experience in white paper publishing and speaking at conferences as that is expected of the role. Success Means: Architecting and delivering scalable prototypes for various features. Ability to research and compare/contrast various solutions for a given problem. Gather feedback and iterate towards a final solution while addressing the feedback. Ability to provide detailed design and architecture documents for the feature. The ability to present the problem and describe the solution in easy to understand ways for a larger audience is critical. Ability to measure, report and explain the efficacy characteristics of the solution. Ability to write deep technical papers for internal and external audiences. Ability to speak at internal and external events as needed. Ability to present and explain the feature in the context of the product to the customers as needed. Ability to work at the code layers of models having deep understanding of cuda, kernels, and frameworks like pytorch.

Requirements

• 6+ years of combined experience as an ML/AI researcher and practitioner.
• 3+ years building/prototyping Generative AI features, Training and Fine Tuning AI / Deep learning models.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in security companies and working in close coordination with or in security products.
• Deep understanding of Security landscape, especially AI Security (securing the use and application of AI)

Responsibilities

• Research, design, and prototype cutting-edge generative AI solutions that enhance CrowdStrike's AI Detection and Response capabilities, translating complex AI concepts into practical security features.
• Create, curate, and maintain high-quality datasets for training and evaluating deep learning models; establish data collection pipelines, labeling workflows, and quality assurance processes to ensure dataset integrity
• Conduct experiments to further the capabilities of existing models.
