The Sr. Affiliate Relations Manager leads Focus on the Family’s domestic and international broadcast placement strategy. This role oversees high‑value station partnerships, paid media negotiations, budget management, affiliate communication, and advanced performance reporting. This position collaborates across departments, ensures consistent brand‑aligned content distribution, and represents the ministry at key industry events. This position plays a strategic role in strengthening long‑term broadcast reach and affiliate engagement. Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Strategic Station & Affiliate Leadership: Serves as senior representative for all domestic and international station relationships Develops long‑term strategies to strengthen affiliate partnerships and expand reach Reviews program content to evaluate sensitivities and advise leadership on potential concerns Maintains high‑level documentation and insights regarding affiliate activity and trends Media Budget & Rate Negotiation: Oversees the complete media budget, including forecasting and monthly analysis Leads all paid media rate negotiations, including major station groups and multi‑year agreements Evaluates station value based on audience data, historical performance, and financial impact Provides strategic recommendations to optimize media investment Reporting & Advanced Analysis: Produces executive‑level monthly reports on station performance and paid media effectiveness Develops detailed station and network profiles using audience, demographic, and distribution data Monitors Christian media industry trends and provide strategic insights for leadership Affiliate Communication & Content Oversight: Directs all affiliate communications, including sensitive updates or program changes Ensures all communication and content align with Focus on the Family brand standards Oversees distribution of content, promos, spots, and promotional materials Promotional & Resource Strategy: Leads the planning of affiliate promotional campaigns and engagement initiatives Oversees development of custom spots, promotional materials, and strategic resources Evaluates promotional effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement Cross‑Departmental & External Leadership: Serves as senior liaison to Amb‑OS, Broadcast Support, Marketing, and Social Media Ensures internal teams align with affiliate needs and distribution requirements Oversees international station engagement and cross-border partnership strategies Leads planning and coordination for major ministry events and affiliate-focused initiatives Industry Engagement & Representation: Leads strategy for Focus on the Family at key industry events Stays informed of industry changes, emerging opportunities, and station network developments Other Duties/Responsibilities: Performs other duties as assigned
