About The Position

As a systems safety engineer for the Common Weapon Launcher, you'll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for all aspects of the system from a system safety perspective. This includes participating in all aspects of the product lifecycle, documenting safety analyses, and communicating with both internal and customer teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field.
• 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience.
• Department of Defense Secret security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire.
• U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice To Haves

• Agile experience preferred.
• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related degree.
• At least 8 years of experience in an engineering role, preferably system safety or defense related.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Collaborative team player eager to provide technical leadership.
• Thorough knowledge of technology trends and willingness to champion new ideas and process improvements.
• Strong presentation and communications skills with experience in negotiation.
