Identifies and leads the implementation of continuous improvement projects. Are leaders creating a performance culture with our suppliers through coaching and technical engagement. We are seeking a skilled Predictive Analytics Specialist to join our aerospace supplier quality team to take on the challenge to shape and advance our supply chain through predictive analytics. It will be a ground-breaking role within our supply chain that involves leveraging advanced analytics techniques to predict risk events, identify potential quality issues, and provide actionable insights that enhance our quality and customer management processes. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with quality engineers, manufacturing teams, and data analysts to foster a proactive approach to quality assurance in the aerospace sector on top of demonstrating effective communication skills to senior management, have a big picture strategic mindset, handle multiple priorities, influence, and solve complex problems. In this role, you will work remotely and report to our Sr Supplier Quality Engineering Manager.

  • Data Analysis and Predictive Modeling:
  • Develop, implement, and utilize predictive models to forecast risk events and quality variations in the manufacturing process.
  • Apply statistical tools and machine learning techniques to analyze historical data, identifying trends, anomalies, and root causes of quality issues.
  • Insights Generation:
  • Transform complex data sets into clear, actionable insights that inform decision-making processes within the quality organization.
  • Deliver presentations and reports that summarize findings, recommendations, and predictive insights to various stakeholders, including senior management.
  • Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:
  • Work closely with quality assurance, engineering, and production teams to understand their needs and incorporate their insights into the predictive modeling process.
  • Assist in the development of strategies for continuous improvement based on predictive analytics findings.
  • Coach team members on how to leverage analytics to make decisions
  • Provide training sessions and workshops to enhance the data literacy of team members and promote a culture of data-driven decision-making.
  • Supply Chain Analytics and Risk Management:
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for quality metrics and develop dashboards to monitor these metrics in real-time.
  • Identify early signals of potential risk events and quality issues, facilitating proactive investigations and interventions.
  • Establishing Strategies and Processes
  • Design and implement tools for data collection, analysis, and reporting that enhance predictive analytics capabilities.
  • Document processes, methodologies, and analytical techniques, ensuring best practices are followed and knowledge is shared across the organization.
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Python or R
  • Proficiency in SQL
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and statistical analysis software.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in predictive analytics, ideally within an aerospace or manufacturing context.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management principles and risk assessment methodologies within the aerospace industry.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written. Including customer reporting.
  • PMP Certification
  • Ability to interface effectively with all levels of leadership.
  • A change agent with excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Proven problem-solving skills, including ability to interpret business performance and financial data, define actions, and implement solutions.
  • Effective collaboration skills to motivate and influence others at various levels without a direct reporting relationship.
