The Sr. Advanced R D Engineer Scientist - Crystallization Process at Honeywell will lead process development and improvement efforts to support new product commercialization and enhance productivity within the Advanced Materials team. This role is critical for contributing to innovative technologies and making a significant impact on the Advanced Materials portfolio, particularly in the area of crystallization processes.

  • Lead process development work including expertise in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering.
  • Coordinate different functions of R D, including design and construction of process development scale equipment.
  • Supervise technical staff and manage analytical requirements and physical property measurements.
  • Develop liquid and/or vapor phase manufacturing technologies with or without catalysts.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing and Engineering teams on cost reduction initiatives and technology improvements.
  • Develop manufacturing technologies and patent portfolios.
  • Adhere to established safety policies and procedures.
  • Wear appropriate PPE and respiratory equipment as necessary.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as sciences, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
  • 7+ years of experience in R D, process engineering, or process development.
  • Bachelors, Masters, or Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • Experience in crystallization, specifically in battery electrolyte manufacturing.
  • Experience in fluorocarbon manufacturing is a plus.
  • Knowledge of instrumentation, data acquisition, and control system software is a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of physical chemistry, thermodynamics, chemical kinetics, reaction engineering, and catalysis.
  • Fundamental knowledge of organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, transport phenomena, and unit operations is preferred.
  • Leadership skills and project management experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to mentor others.
  • Self-starter with problem-solving abilities.
