As a Senior Advanced R&D Engineer/Scientist at Honeywell, you will leverage your expertise in systems design and integration to contribute to innovative projects in Alternative Position, Navigation, and Timing Systems.   • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in systems design in an aerospace R&D environment or similar field
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, stakeholders, and customers
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably in Electrical, Aerospace, or Systems Engineering) or a related field
  • Master's Degree in Engineering
  • Strong understanding of aerospace regulations, standards, and certification processes (e.g., DO-178, DO-254, ARP4754)
  • In-depth knowledge of avionics systems, including flight control systems, navigation systems, communication systems, and electrical systems
  • Knowledge of Inertial, GPS, or Alternative PNT sensors
  • Familiarity with avionics hardware and software development processes, including design, development, verification, and validation
  • Experience with Digital Engineering Concepts, MBSE, Digital Twin, Digital Thread
  • Knowledge of avionics communication protocols and standards (e.g., ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553, Ethernet, CAN bus)
  • Experience with system-level testing and verification techniques, including test plan development, test execution, and test report generation
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex systems, identify issues, and propose effective solutions
  • Understanding of configuration management principles and tools for maintaining traceability and controlling changes in avionics systems
  • Relevant certifications in systems engineering or avionics (e.g., INCOSE CSEP, RTCA/DO-178C DAL A/B training)
