About The Position

As a Sr Advanced Quality Engineer here at Honeywell, you will be a key player in our commitment to achieving quality excellence. With your extensive knowledge of Teamcenter, advanced hands-on experience in executing quality control processes and procedures, and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification, you will be responsible for ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality products and services for two sites including Boulder City, NV and Huntsville, AL. Your expertise in quality control, coupled with your strong analytical and problem-solving skills, will drive continuous improvement initiatives and elevate our quality standards. You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and you'll work out of either Boulder City, NV or Huntsville, AL location on a hybrid work schedule as needed based on project assignment. Hours may vary at times to fill the needs of our customers. In this role, you will have a significant impact on our quality performance and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in quality engineering or quality assurance.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification, or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced hands-on experience in executing quality control processes and procedures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to lead teams and collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading organizations through ISO certification and maintaining compliance with quality standards.

Nice To Haves

  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification, or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced Engineering degrees like EE (Electrical Engineering), ME (Mechanical Engineering), and Quality Management.
  • Experience in quality control methodologies, tools, and industry best practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of TeamCenter.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and cultivate a culture of quality across all manufacturing and engineering processes.
  • Lead and coordinate the ISO certification process from initiation through to successful certification.
  • Design, implement, and maintain quality management systems in compliance with industry standards.
  • Utilize statistical methods and Six Sigma principles to analyze quality control tests and metrics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, and supply chain, to promote quality initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections of processes and equipment to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Develop training programs for staff on quality practices and procedures, ensuring a high level of competence within the engineering and production teams.
  • Respond to customer feedback and non-conformance reports, driving continuous improvement in quality metrics and reducing defect rates.
  • Manage the quality control budget and resources effectively to support organizational objectives.
  • Provide leadership and support during product inspections and quality approvals, ensuring timely resolution of quality issues.
  • Stay updated on industry standards and regulations to ensure strict compliance.
  • Be the key stakeholder in Team Center integration for Rocky Research including Solidworks Vault activities and Drawing revision control.
  • Participate and lead in other functions as assigned by manager/site lead.
