About The Position

As a Sr Advanced Quality Engineer here at Honeywell, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest quality standards in our products and processes. You will report directly to our Quality Engineering Manager, and you'll work out of our Fort Mill, SC location on a Hybrid work schedule. In this role, you will impact the overall quality performance of our products, leading initiatives that enhance product reliability and customer satisfaction while driving operational excellence across the organization. Requirements

  • University Graduate in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, Probability & Mathematical Statistics or related field
  • 5+ years working experience in electrical-mechanical manufacturing quality engineering, process engineering or product engineering
  • Familiarity with ISO9000 is a must
  • Experience with quality systems such as TS16949 and others as well as quality techniques (Six Sigma, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and Control Plan) is a strong plus
  • Good analytical, audit, and computer skill
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both spoken and written
  • Possess strong skills in diplomacy and negotiation and fully understand the Teamwork approach
  • Must have the ability to collaborate effectively with other departments
  • Rich knowledge & experience on statistic data collection and analysis practice
  • Six-sigma GB is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Review and approve design and process changes for measurability, consistency and impact on products, processes or other areas and recommended changes
  • Lead Open Box Failure (OBF) mode, internal & external customer complaint analysis and determine action plan
  • Monitor field experience through Customer Quality Engineer & Service department and conduct relevant field failure and trend analysis
  • Monitor and drive Root Cause/Corrective Action (RCCA) for Customer complaint reduction
  • Support supplier assessment audits, review improvement action proposals and provide technical support to nonconforming material
  • Create, implement, review and approve cost effective and reliable process controls, design qualifications, inspection procedures and quality plans for new products
  • Provide quality assurance of the product quality from cradle to grave
  • Initiate, plan and conduct the qualification / validation test plan for the proposed product changes
  • Provide training to internal departments on quality principles
  • Initiate, review and approve quality system procedures defining quality acceptance criteria in accordance with agency regulations and company standards and initiate continuous improvement activities
  • Support quality reporting, review, measure and metrics to site quality manager and global quality team as needed
  • Early involved in the project concept development for OVOC and HUE to deep understand and measured the actual using case with marketing and engineering
  • Extract the Lessons learn from the historical failure data from the database of the OBF / Warranty Data and generate the Right from the Start (RFTS) by quality perspective for the error-proofing in the new NPI project
  • Perform audit of project key deliverables and assure plan is in place to address those that are not completed on time as requirement
  • Create, implement, review, and approve cost effective and reliable process controls, design qualifications, inspection procedures and quality plans for new products
