The T55 Project Engineering team has an opening for a Sr. Advanced Project Engineer. Successful candidates must be able to demonstrate the interest, aptitude, and experience associated with the design, development, test and support of gas turbine engines for rotary-wing applications.   • Lead the design, development and test activity through all aspects of the Integrated Product Delivery and Support (IPDS) process, on schedule, on budget and in compliance with all technical requirements.
  • Broad indirect span of control of approximately 6 full time equivalent engineers.
  • Cost account manager for assigned scope, including Earned Value Management System reporting. Annual budgetary responsibility approximately $3M.
  • Expected to serve as the single point engineering leader for the assigned scope.
  • Lead a diverse cross functional team to accomplish the scope.
  • Escalate effectively with leadership and cross-functionally across the organization.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
  • 5+ years' engineering experience in design, development, and/or test of gas turbine engines or similarly complex mechanical systems.
  • Bachelors in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
  • Prior experience leading gas turbine engine design and development activities.
  • Testing of moderately complex systems.
  • Excellent oral and written communications.
  • Program/Project Management experience.
  • Strong cost account management skills.
  • Demonstrates a bias for action and ability to work independently.
  • Prioritizes time and resources effectively.
  • Ability to build constructive working relationships with internal customers and suppliers.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in a matrix organization to accomplish technical objectives under strict schedule constraints.
