About The Position

Honeywell is seeking a Senior Generative AI Strategy Specialist (Sr. Adv Data Scientist) to drive the integration of advanced Generative AI technologies across our operations, products, and services. This role focuses on shaping and executing strategic initiatives that leverage Gen AI to enhance efficiency, foster innovation, and deliver measurable business value. You will act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert, collaborating with business units, technology teams, and external partners to identify opportunities, design solutions, and ensure responsible AI adoption. You will report directly to our VP, Digital Transformation & Strategy and you'll work out of our Charlotte, NC location on a Hybrid work schedule. Hybrid Work Schedule Note: For the first 90 days, New Hires must be prepared to work 100% onsite M-F.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in IT strategy, digital transformation, or emerging technologies, with at least 2 years in AI-related initiatives.
  • Strong analytical ability - understands the 'why' behind the numbers and can tell a value story.
  • Strong understanding of Generative AI technologies, architectures, and enterprise applications.
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive cross-functional initiatives without direct authority.
  • Excellent communication skills to translate complex AI concepts into business value.
  • Experience in identifying and delivering technology-driven business improvements.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • Familiarity with AI governance, ethics, and regulatory considerations.
  • Experience in agile environments and digital product development.
  • Strategic mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Executive presentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of Honeywell's Generative AI strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and measurable value realization.
  • Partner with business and functional leaders to identify high-impact use cases for Gen AI and define roadmaps for implementation.
  • Research emerging Gen AI technologies, tools, and trends; engage with start-ups, academia, and industry forums to bring forward innovative solutions.
  • Collaborate with the AI Responsibility Committee to ensure compliance with ethical, regulatory, and security standards while enabling rapid innovation.
  • Act as a change champion by promoting an AI-first culture, supporting adoption, and minimizing resistance through education and advocacy.
  • Partner with HR and Learning teams to develop and deliver Gen AI training programs, fostering continuous learning across the organization.
  • Track and report on the progress and impact of Gen AI initiatives, providing insights to leadership for strategic decision-making.
  • Prepare and present presentations tailored to a specific audience. Be able to clearly communicate, in business value terms, an outcome-based story.
