About The Position

Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center is set to open in early 2025 as the first new full-service hospital in Washington, DC in over 20 years. This teaching hospital will integrate clinical care with existing providers, including The George Washington University Hospital and the Urgent Care Center in Ward 8, establishing a robust system of care for all District residents. The facility will feature 136 beds (expandable to 184), a verified trauma center, adult and pediatric emergency departments, maternal health and delivery services, an ambulatory pavilion, a community space, a 500-car garage, and a helipad for emergency transports. We are currently seeking a Sr. Admissions Representative responsible for facilitating an efficient, professional, and effective registration process through the attainment of demographic and financial information via face-to-face registration. This role is crucial for ensuring data integrity and timely claims processing while supporting a culture of service excellence.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalency.
  • 2-5 years of problem-solving experience in a Customer Service environment (preferably healthcare or insurance) or a Bachelor's degree with 1-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Computer/keyboard skills required.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously and work under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate an efficient and professional registration process.
  • Obtain demographic and financial information pertinent to reimbursement and statistical analysis.
  • Maintain complete and accurate accounts to ensure database integrity.
  • Ensure timely claims processing.
