Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (preferably Accounting).
  • CPA or CFA preferred.
  • 5-7 years' experience in company finance.
  • Extensive experience in accounting, financial reporting/analysis, consolidations reporting, budgeting, treasury, cash management, financial compliance, tax accounting, and auditing.
  • Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards and statutory reporting.
  • Excellent analytical and multi-tasking skills.
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud, Tagetik, and Google suite preferred.
  • Strong modeling skills (Expert excel user).
  • Excellent computer skills, including MS Office suite.
  • Good understanding of stand-alone audited reports.
  • In-depth knowledge of business, company policies, and regulations.
  • Excellent English communication skills.
  • Independent, proactive, and self-motivated.

Responsibilities

  • Contributes to monthly financial closing, reporting, planning, and analysis of the business performance.
  • Handles statutory reporting responsibilities for external and internal audit and income, sales and property taxes.
  • Assists in the Vopak IIO's treasury/cash management needs, forecasting and analysis.
  • Abides by all safety procedures and practices applicable to location and position.
  • Participates in appropriate safety training and demonstrates commitment to SH&E principles and values.
  • Assists in the monthly internal financial reporting and analysis of the Vopak IIA including journal entries, account research, and reconciliations of the income statement and balance sheet accounts.
  • Responsible for the reporting of taxes including: 1099s, property tax, sales/use tax, franchise tax, state tax, occupational license, and payroll tax.
  • Leads the annual Financial Audit with external auditors and annual internal CRSA & internal BPR programs.
  • Assists accounting and operations with internal and external financial and operational audits.
  • Main liaison with external auditors.
  • Assists in the management of insurance program including renewals, claims, audits, and risk engineering studies.
  • Manages the credit card program and associated monthly accounting entries.
  • Responsible for pension accounting and annual reporting.
  • Monitors accounts receivable position and coordinates communications between Commercial, Customer Service and Account Receivable departments.
  • Reviews and tracks all Vopak related invoices.
  • Ensures accurate documentation and monitoring of corporate governance policies.
  • Seeks continuous improvement to optimize the usage of data, technology, automation.
  • Performs other duties assigned by management that fall within the generally expected scope of this position.
  • Conducts Ad-Hoc analysis and reporting as required.
