The Sr. Accountant is responsible for all Sales and Use tax related issues, including assigning tax rates, filing returns, reconciling accounts, and serving as the primary contact for third-party sales tax service providers and Customer Service for sales tax inquiries. This role also involves preparing month-end General Ledger account reconciliations and journal entries, maintaining fixed asset records and depreciation schedules, and completing annual property tax returns and related audits. The Sr. Accountant will prepare audit schedules and analyses for financial statement and government compliance audits, research and report on various accounting issues like business licenses and Sunshine Reporting, and develop an understanding of all company accounting functions to provide support as needed. This is a full-time, individual contributor position operating in a professional office environment with eligibility for a hybrid work schedule.
