The Senior Accountant’s primary focus will be to understand and anticipate variance issues on the production lines, manage monthly inventories and be the batch management expert. This individual will champion the plant through financial analysis. This role will lead the management of inventories, production analysis, profit plan development and promote the financial training of plant employees. The Senior Accountant will be actively involved in providing support for plant financials and the accuracy of LPR data. The individual will collaborate with many Plant disciplines and provide reporting and analysis under tight timelines. In addition, the Senior Accountant: Develop, analyze, and report plant financial performance, including weekly results, monthly close, forecasts, and annual budgets; investigate variances and anomalies to support performance improvement. Partner with Plant Leadership to identify operational shortfalls, conduct root‑cause analysis, and drive corrective actions using data-driven insights. Utilize analytical models and statistical tools to evaluate production trends, cost drivers, line mix, and other factors impacting plant financials. Oversee controllership activities, including SOX compliance, store inventory testing, purchasing card audits, inventory management, and resolution of goods‑movement errors. Manage annual and ongoing processes for inventory, fixed assets, product standards, labor/overhead rates, and budget inputs while ensuring accuracy within SAP. Maintain control over raw‑material obsolescence, including seasonal and limited‑edition items, and ensure adherence to accounting procedures. Support special projects focused on cost savings, forecast enhancements, and improvement of analytics through technology and process optimization.
