As we continue to scale, we are seeking a Senior Accountant who will be responsible for overseeing core accounting functions and ensuring accurate, timely financial reporting in accordance with GAAP. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with month-end close, general ledger management, and compliance, along with the judgment and initiative to improve processes and support leadership with reliable financial insights.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 7-10 years of accounting experience, preferably with a government contractor
  • Working experience in QB Desktop or Unanet ERP
  • Understanding of GAAP, and DCAA compliance
  • Strong Excel skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting Indirect Rate Structures (Fringe, Overhead, G&A)
  • Prior involvement in external audits or DCAA reviews
  • Familiarity with timekeeping compliance and labor distribution rules
  • Knowledge of revenue recognition (T&M, CPFF, FFP contracts)

Responsibilities

  • Support monthly close
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts to project ledger, research variances, and maintain audit-ready documentation
  • Prepare monthly accruals and deferrals in accordance with GAAP
  • Create and maintain employee accounts for time and expense tracking
  • Reconcile and post labor distribution for semi-monthly payroll schedule
  • Review and analyze total compensation programs (base pay, bonuses, benefits, equity, and other incentives) for DCAA compliance.
  • Review and analyze travel expenses for compliance with FAR and company travel policy
  • Identify and record unallowable compensation and travel costs in accordance with FAR
  • Assist in preparation for internal, financial, or DCAA audits
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting P&P
