About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sr. Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist with month-end closing processes, record journal entries, and provide a detailed review and analysis. You will prepare monthly account reconciliations, perform financial variance analysis, and ensure compliance with GAAP while taking ownership of assigned GL accounts.

Requirements

  • Strong accounting skills with expertise in general ledger and reconciliation.
  • Proficiency in month-end processes and financial reporting.
  • Experience with financial statement preparation and bank reconciliation.
  • Familiarity with accounts payable and receivable processes.
  • Proficient in SAP and audit procedures.
  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • At least 4 years of general ledger experience, or 2+ years with audit experience.

Nice To Haves

  • External audit experience is a plus.
  • Experience with SAP is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with month-end closing processes and record journal entries.
  • Prepare monthly account reconciliations and ensure accuracy.
  • Perform monthly financial variance analysis, including research and documentation.
  • Take ownership of assigned GL accounts and ensure compliance with GAAP.
  • Assist with preparation of audit schedules and respond to audit requests.
  • Establish productive relationships within finance and other departments.
  • Maintain financial records in compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
  • Act as a business partner with management to provide recommendations for improving financial processes.
  • Analyze current processes and make recommendations for process improvement.
