About The Position

At STACK, the Senior Accountant, Equity is an essential part of the Finance and Accounting Department. You will play an integral role in the equity accounting process, reporting to the Equity Accounting Manager. To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communications skills, strong attention to detail, be exceptionally organized, self-motivated, and a master problem-solver. You should be able to thrive in a fast-paced multitasking environment and easily adapt to change and rapid company growth. Our ideal candidate will have a passion for accounting and customer service (external and internal).

Requirements

BS in Accounting required
3+ years prior work experience
Strong understanding of US GAAP
Detail-oriented
Strong analytical, problem solving, and communications skills
Enjoys collaborating and works well cross-functionally with other teams
Ability to execute, process, and prioritize tasks with minimal-to-no supervision
Proven success in creating efficiencies in processes and procedures

Nice To Haves

CPA and public accounting experience preferred
Multi-entity and international experience preferred
NetSuite experience preferred
Proficient with Microsoft Office product suite, especially Excel

Responsibilities

Responsible for journal entries, dividend and distribution calculations tie outs, investor capital statements, account reconciliations, and discrepancy research within the equity accounting process
Navigate and understand the complexities of our organizational structure to accurately account for equity across multiple entities
Establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal departments, including GL Accounting, Finance and Treasury teams
Be the point of contact with investors regarding equity balances and questions
Assist with year-end audit and tax requests
Ad-hoc reporting, analysis and special projects to move the business forward
Identify and implement ideas for process improvement
