The Senior Accountant, Control Operations is responsible for carrying out a variety of functions in support of internal controls within the finance department and across the organization. Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field of study and 1-2 years of directly related experience in accounting or finance or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

You will evaluate the quality and accuracy of general ledger reconciliations on a risk-based sample basis.
You will troubleshoot and resolve end-user inquiries and processing issues within the applications you support.
You will identify necessary changes to reconciliations for new balance sheets, bank accounts, and personnel changes among assigned preparers and approvers.
You will perform data analytics to identify trends and anomalies within general ledger data to gain insight and supplement preventative controls.
You will complete due diligence for new suppliers to verify tax information, identity details and evaluate anti-money laundering and suspicious activity.
