As a Senior Accountant in Clinic Accounting at Community Health Systems, you will be responsible for recording financial transactions related to clinics and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of these records. This role is crucial in supporting the organization's mission to provide safe, quality healthcare and to build enduring relationships with patients. You will play a vital role in financial reporting, general ledger management, account reconciliation, and compliance with accounting principles and regulations, including HIPAA, Medicare, and Medicaid regulations. Your responsibilities will include preparing and presenting financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. You will manage the general ledger by recording intercompany financial transactions and ensuring that all records are accurate and complete. Additionally, you will reconcile intercompany accounts, resolve discrepancies, and handle accruals and expense allocations. Assisting with budget preparation and monitoring will also be part of your duties, ensuring that expenses align with budgetary guidelines. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with other departments, including accounting, finance, and operations, to ensure accurate recording and reporting of financial transactions. Furthermore, you will lead and support the team of Clinical Staff Accountants, ensuring they are well-trained and equipped to perform their duties effectively. This includes reviewing their work and reports before distribution to clinic and corporate leadership.
