About The Position

As a Senior Account Executive,  on our Partnerships Team, you will own the development and growth of accounts across our North America Shipping and Logistics segment To drive success in this role, you will have experience successfully selling technology to Shipping aggregators, Carriers, Marketplaces, 3PL’s and/or Freight Forwarders. As the Senior Account Executive, Shipping & Logistics you will be a key figure in optimizing the sales strategy and deal execution from research to lead generation through senior stakeholder engagement.  Regular collaboration with solution engineering, BDRs, field marketing and executives will be key in ensuring sales targets are achieved.

Requirements

  • 4 or more years of experience selling Saas, Shipping and Logistics products or Embedded insurance solutions to the broader logistics space in North America. 
  • Proven track record for meeting and exceeding sales targets and performance-driven KPIs. 
  • Experience leading a group of internal and external stakeholders to close deals. 
  • Experience building and maintaining pipeline.
  • Manage fast paced sales cycles, while navigating long-term strategic engagements.
  • First class communication skills, able to present, negotiate and influence at C-level.
  • Driven and energetic with strong business acumen.
  • A proactive bias to action and drive to achieve results.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a member of cross-functional team.
  • Appetite and enthusiasm for working as part of a small, collegial team that is not afraid of getting their hands dirty and supporting each other.
  • Agile mindset and passion for working within high-growth technology companies/startups.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify and close complex partnership deals with target Shipping & Logistics partners within the North American region.
  • Consult, educate and position CG’s value proposition with prospective partners on Cover Genius’s embedded solutions, tech platform and sales journey to generate interest and create a sense of urgency.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to ensure pitches to prospective partners are delivered effectively, with clarity on the product solution and positioning.
  • Grow the Cover Genius brand within the Shipping & Logistics vertical through representation at industry events and broader networking.
  • Research and prospect strategically to build and qualify short-term and long-term pipeline by consistently and efficiently delivering productive volumes of quality outreach using cold calls, emails, LinkedIn, event, relationships, referrals and other market appropriate channels.
