About The Position

The position is within the Clinical Quality Registry Services department, offering a full-time schedule from Monday to Friday. This role is remote, allowing for flexibility in work location. The primary focus of this position is to utilize specialty databases to abstract patient data from electronic medical records for the application of medical registries. The individual will perform primary data abstraction duties for clinical measures and registries, ensuring high levels of abstraction accuracy and alignment with organizational quality standards. Additionally, the role involves compiling data into reports for analysis by various departments and committees, acting as a liaison between clinical improvement teams to interpret standards and specifications. The individual will also maintain various quality databases, including loading import files and generating data status reports in compliance with regulatory requirements and timeframes, while identifying and communicating trends in clinical data to leadership.

Requirements

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • ACC Cath/PCI Registry experience is needed.
  • Experience working with Epic, Meditech, and/or Cerner.
  • Relevant and current abstraction experience preferred.
  • Computer literate and ability to work remotely without a lot of guidance.
