About The Position

Altium Packaging is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior A/R Cash Application Specialist to join our Accounts Receivable team in Atlanta, GA. This role is responsible for accurately applying incoming payments to customer accounts, resolving discrepancies, and supporting the overall cash flow operations of the company.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required, associate's degree in accounting or related field preferred.
• 5 -10 years of experience in cash application or accounts receivable in a high-volume environment.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, JD Edwards) and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in the manufacturing or packaging industry.
• Familiarity with lockbox processing and banking software.
• Skilled in applying and reconciling credit card payments.
• Hands on experience with JD Edwards and Oracle Fusion ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Process and apply daily cash receipts including ACH, wire transfers, checks, and credit card payments.
• Ensure payments are posted to the correct customer accounts and matched to the appropriate invoices.
• Manage unapplied and unidentified cash by researching and resolving discrepancies.
• Reconcile daily cash receipts with bank deposits and internal records.
• Communicate with customers to obtain remittance details and resolve payment issues.
• Collaborate with internal departments (Collectors, Customer Service, Finance) to resolve account discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate records of all cash application activities.
• Assist with month-end close processes and reporting.
• Support audits by providing documentation and explanations related to cash applications.
• Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs.
