We are seeking a highly skilled SQL Server Developer to join our team in Montgomery, AL. This role is critical in supporting business intelligence, data integration, reporting, and application development within a structured Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SQL development, ETL, and Power BI reporting, along with strong problem-solving and collaboration skills. You will work closely with finance, healthcare, and analytics teams to deliver high-quality data solutions that drive operational efficiency and informed decision-making.

  • Provide analytics support across health systems, finance, and analytics divisions.
  • Collaborate with project managers, team leads, analysts, and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Design, build, and maintain ETL processes using Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across systems.
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of applications supporting budgeting, STARRS, and accounting systems.
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices.
  • Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views.
  • Create and manage scripts to build new database objects and deploy patches.
  • Support multiple databases with a focus on performance tuning and query optimization.
  • Assist with schema design, upgrades, and data improvements.
  • Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure system stability.
  • Develop, publish, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for business intelligence.
  • Translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders.
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (equivalent experience may be considered).
  • Proven hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS, and Power BI.
  • Strong knowledge of relational databases and data modeling principles.
  • Proficiency in writing and optimizing advanced SQL queries.
  • Experience working within the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile environments.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
