About The Position

Genesis10 is seeking a SQL Server DBA for a 7-month remote contract position. The role involves providing technical support for DB2 databases, ensuring best practices in database management, and assisting in the migration of mainframe data to relational databases. The position is designed for experienced professionals looking to contribute to a leading client in Columbus, OH.

Requirements

• 9+ years of experience in database administration.
• 4-year college degree or equivalent technical study.
• SQL Server DBA certification is preferred.
• Experience with ODJFS.

Responsibilities

• Provide DB2 technical support for multiple mainframe DB2 databases.
• Ensure best practices in database planning, design, configuration, performance, and capacity planning.
• Assist in migrating mainframe data to newer relational databases.
• Work with the DBA ITM1 to meet team goals and metrics.
• Support approximately 10 database applications.
