SQL Developer (CONTRACT) REMOTE

As a SQL developer, you will collaborate with other developers, product managers, and QA to build a system for managing private equity investments. You will be part of a team responsible for implementing the full private equity investment lifecycle, using modern technologies including cloud infrastructure and blockchain, and supporting clients with a global scope. This will involve a mix of supporting existing logic and clients in production, while having many “greenfield” chances to create and implement new functionality in the system. We are looking for well-rounded developers who work well in a development team using iterative development methodologies to build robust, high-quality production systems. We require a dedicated development resource to develop and support our conversion technical processes. Work-Mode: This is a remote role where you will work off-site. Travel is limited and generally used for team learning and collaboration meetings.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years’ IT experience in MS SQL development.
- Use T-SQL to develop and implement procedures and functions
- Strong troubleshooting and optimization skills
- Strong relational modelling skills
- Good communication and language skills in the English language
- Experience using code management tools, e.g., GIT or Bitbucket
- Experience in creating tests; unit testing, data quality tests, and assumption testing
Nice To Haves
- Experience in using Redgate tools for SQL Server a plus
- Knowledge and hands-on experience in AWS, Jenkins, Redgate, Python a plus
- Financial Industry experience a plus
- Compensation management experience a significant plus
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement AWS RDS SQL Server solutions and standalone tasks, including but not limited to developing procedures, scripts, deployments, data analysis, troubleshooting, optimization, ETL/ELT
- Work within and across teams to craft, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions across a full stack of development tools and technologies
