About The Position

Our client is a global leader in online gaming, specializing in betting exchanges and online casino games like poker and bingo. They operate proprietary software with web, mobile, and native iOS and Android apps, serving over two million players across 50 countries. We are seeking a skilled SQL Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building, maintaining, and supporting key compliance reports across multiple international markets. You will design and develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database functions to support data requirements and analysis. This role requires optimizing database performance, collaborating with development teams, and ensuring data integrity and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
Minimum 3 years of experience in SQL development involving complex reporting requirements
Proficiency in one or more database systems such as RedShift, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or similar
Strong understanding of indexing, query optimization, and performance tuning techniques
Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
Dimensional modeling experience
Experience with any cloud data warehouse (Redshift preferred; Snowflake, BigQuery, or Azure Synapse are also acceptable)
Medium-level ETL experience
At least basic experience with cloud platforms

Nice To Haves

Experience in the gaming or sports betting industry
Experience with complex regulatory compliance requirements
Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Looker
Python programming experience
Knowledge of cloud database platforms (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, etc.)
Understanding of data warehousing concepts
AWS at intermediate level
Reporting and visualization tools

Responsibilities

Build, maintain, and support key compliance reports across various international markets
Design and develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database functions
Support requirements gathering, data mapping, and data analysis efforts
Optimize database performance through query tuning and indexing strategies
Collaborate with development teams to implement efficient database solutions for applications
Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with regulatory standards
Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues proactively
Participate in database design reviews and provide technical recommendations
Document database schemas, procedures, and processes thoroughly
Support testing and validation to ensure correctness of data in reports
