Perform SQL coding and analysis in conjunction with Revenue Recognition process.
Key point of contact for the month-end close revenue process, liaising directly with the Revenue Recognition team as well as other key internal stakeholders
Collaborate with the Revenue Recognition team on the establishment and maintenance of SQL coding regarding revenue recognition models
Review and analyze SQL scripts for improvement, enhancement, and efficiency of processes utilizing the scripts
Analyze medical EMR billing data for reasonableness and accuracy as part of the new practice acquisition and integration process
Liaise with accounting, FP&A, IT and physician compensation teams
Assist with answering accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
Assist with internal control documentation, monitoring, and review
Prepare ad hoc reports and work on projects as needed
Perform other duties as assigned
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required.
Minimum 5+ years of related work experience.
Expert level or highly advanced SQL understanding and experience are required.
Demonstrated ability to build strong cross-functional relationships throughout the organization to achieve common goals.
Excellent communication skills to distill information into a digestible presentation for senior management with recommended corrective actions.
Comfortable managing multiple projects with tight or overlapping deadlines.
Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
Excellent SQL coding skills and able to perform the following functions:
Able to perform calculations across a set of related rows to find running totals, moving averages, and rankings, crucial for revenue trend analysis and comparative reporting.
Able to use Common Table Expressions (CTEs) to simplify complex, hierarchical, and recursive queries, such as tracing the dependencies of revenue streams.
Use of Performance Tuning to optimize complex queries
Familiarity with Snowflake Environment
Able to analyze large datasets to find insights, trends, and potential issues in revenue data
Experience in creating ad hoc reporting and board materials as required.
Able to motivate others, promote cross training and create succession planning for the key accounting areas.
Strong Microsoft Excel and "big data" understanding and experience is a plus.
Experience in accounting, healthcare industry and medical billing is also a plus.
