As an Infrastructure Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Infrastructure Branch Technology team, you will play a pivotal role in one of the world's most iconic financial institutions, where infrastructure is of paramount importance. You will utilize your strong knowledge of software, applications, and technical processes within the infrastructure engineering discipline. This position requires applying your technical knowledge and problem-solving methodologies across multiple applications of moderate scope.

  • Provides recommendations and insight on data management, governance procedures, and intricacies applicable to the acquisition, maintenance, validation, and utilization of data
  • Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
  • Works with other team members to resolve any high priority issues
  • Helps to manage internal cloud (GAIA) application pools
  • Designs and maintains robust software solutions for monitoring and alerting as needed
  • Works with the team on any infrastructure and code database performance issue utilizing SQL Sentry
  • Helps in monitoring and troubleshooting SQL Server Availability Groups including replication issues and database failovers
  • Works with the team on certificate tracking and renewals
  • Provides after-hours (on-call coverage) on a weekly scheduled basis
  • Formal training or certification on infrastructure engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
  • Strong experience with relational database systems
  • Experience and/or solid understanding of transact SQL
  • Strong proficiency in SQL infrastructure, including Availability Groups
  • Knowledge of PowerShell and ETL processes
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including non-technical business stakeholders
  • Experience with operating internal cloud applications
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git and Bitbucket for data
  • Experience working with development teams from operational and controls perspective
  • Experience with overall SQL troubleshooting
  • Proficient with PowerShell
  • Experience tuning and troubleshooting T-SQL queries and indexes
  • Experience with internal cloud application infrastructure
