We are seeking an experienced SQL Database Administrator to manage and optimize enterprise-scale SQL Server environments across on-premises and cloud platforms. This role requires expertise in database architecture, performance tuning, automation, and high availability strategies to ensure secure, reliable, and scalable data solutions. In this role, you will; · Database Administration & Architecture Manage large-scale SQL Server databases across on-prem and cloud environments (Azure, AWS). Design and optimize OLTP and data warehouse architectures for scalability and performance. · Performance Optimization & High Availability Lead query tuning, indexing strategies, and table partitioning. Configure and maintain SQL Server replication, Always On Availability Groups, and failover clustering to ensure high availability and disaster recovery. · Maintenance & Automation Perform installations, patching, upgrades, and migrations for SQL Server 2017 and newer versions. Automate DBA tasks and implement CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Octopus Deploy. · Monitoring & Security Monitor system health and performance using tools such as SQL Sentry and Idera. Ensure database security, compliance, and sustainability while proactively resolving bottlenecks. · Collaboration & Mentorship Partner with technology leadership to align database strategy with business goals. Collaborate with developers for query tuning and schema refinement. Mentor junior DBAs and data engineers to promote best practices. · Additional Expertise Hands-on experience with SSAS, SSRS, SSIS, and emerging platforms like Azure SQL, Synapse Analytics, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Cosmos DB. Microsoft SQL certifications (MCSA, MCSE) are a plus.
