Requirements

  • Experience with SQL Server administration, isolation levels, normalization, and relational database concepts.
  • Familiarity with Windows Server environments.
  • Ability to support database operations in a 24/7 environment when needed.
  • Hands‑on experience with SSIS and ETL processes (ZappySys a plus).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and non‑technical teams.
  • Highly self‑directed, able to work independently, and effective at managing multiple deadlines.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, or comparable project tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of Power BI, PowerShell, PostgreSQL, or .NET (preferred but not required).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred but not required with equivalent experience).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain SQL queries, scripts, and ETL workflows for data movement across diverse sources.
  • Administer and maintain SQL Server databases across development, testing, and production environments at a 99.9% uptime standard .
  • Manage SSRS reporting, including report creation, optimization, and system integration.
  • Oversee a hosted MongoDB environment and support cross‑platform data tasks.
  • Perform proactive performance tuning, capacity planning, and real-time monitoring.
  • Implement and execute database backup, restore, and disaster‑recovery strategies.
  • Develop automation scripts for routine DBA operations and monitoring.
  • Drive continuous improvement through monitoring, alerting, and system optimization.
