Monitor database performance and ensure availability.
Troubleshoot and resolve database issues.
Optimize database performance.
Develop and maintain database backup and recovery procedures.
Ensure database security and compliance with regulations.
Collaborate with developers to design and implement database solutions.

High School Diploma or Bachelor's degree and three (3+) or more years of experience in SQL database administration.
Excellent knowledge of SQL Server, MySQL, and Oracle databases.
Experience applying DISA STIGs to SQL databases.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
DoD 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) II compliant.
Excellent communication skills.

Knowledge of Git and specifically GitLab.
Firm grasp of SQL best practices in both PostgreSQL and Oracle.
Surface level knowledge of Redis and other NoSQL DBs.
