Shape a culture where quality and food safety come first You start your day with a safety walk, eyes on the floor and mind on the consumer. In a cooperative, hands-on environment, you oversee manufacturing processes to keep production moving smoothly while protecting product integrity. You keep GMP top of mind, participate in food safety and GMP trainings, follow policy without exception, and move quickly to report any food safety concern. Alongside managers and supervisors, you make thoughtful decisions around quality discipline and training. You also ensure quality complaints are accurately captured and that robust controls prevent them from happening again. What a day might look like Coach teams on quality policies and procedures, and administer them consistently across the plant. Run focused quality training sessions for employees, reinforcing GMP and food safety practices. Partner with the Production Manager and HR Manager to drive corrective actions that keep quality and production standards on track. Walk the floor to perform sanitation and quality control audits; share findings with the Plant Manager, HR Manager, Shipping Manager, and Production Managers—and close the loop with corrective action. Keep inspection reports, files, quality programs, and samples current and audit-ready. Lead inclusive quality committee meetings to engage every employee in continuous improvement. Own and maintain the company Pest Control Program and our GFSI/SQF programs to meet customer requirements. Oversee the development, implementation, review, and maintenance of the SQF System, including food safety fundamentals per SQF Code 7.2, and take action to protect its integrity. Communicate essential SQF information to all relevant personnel so the system is fully understood and effectively maintained. Build strong customer relationships; respond to questions and coordinate closely with corporate customer service. Collect, organize, analyze, and share process data with internal stakeholders and external customers. Provide technical support to ink making, paste making, and graphics for process improvements and environmental compliance. Lead the plant’s Continuous Improvement reporting, activities, and training.
