The primary responsibility of this position is to support the remote team members of the QA team, ensuring that remote access is always available. This includes maintaining QA Lab hardware and managing inventory control and tracking of all hardware. The individual will also be responsible for the Workstation lease refresh process. A secondary responsibility involves training to become a QA Consultant, which includes testing packaged applications, OS images, Microsoft patches, security tools, VDI applications, and OS images. The primary role will focus on supporting all Windows Workstations in the QA Lab located in Walnut Creek, troubleshooting workstations that are not online or accessible to remote workers, and addressing networking issues. The position will involve working with Raritan IP KVM Switch, Vertiv IP PDUs, and collaborating with the Release Services team and other business partners to test Application and OS Deployment Systems such as MCM (Microsoft Console Manager), Intune, AppOS, and packaged applications (both vendor and in-house). The role requires extensive knowledge of Windows 11, PowerApps, and PowerShell, and the ability to be forward-thinking in making the team more efficient. Strong collaboration and communication skills are essential, as this individual contributor will support the development of the software quality assurance test strategy under the guidance of senior team members, while adhering to the company's Global Quality Services Framework and end-to-end quality assurance.
