Responsibilities

  • Provide supervisory oversight to staff responsible for patient experience service and hospitality functions in the hospital, treatment areas, and outpatient clinics.
  • Maintain patient and caregiver satisfaction through the supervision of Patient Experience Services team members.
  • Work with team members, patients, and their families to address concerns or special needs that may arise during their time at Moffitt.
  • Collaborate with various members of the healthcare team, hospital departments, and administration to solve problems that patients and families may have.
  • Communicate organizational needs and oversee employees' performance.
  • Provide guidance and support to staff, identifying development needs.
  • Manage the reciprocal relationship between staff, patients, caregivers, and the organization.
  • Assist as a liaison between internal and external constituents to improve department processes and policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • One (1) year of supervisory or project/team lead experience.
  • In lieu of Bachelor's Degree, an Associate's degree and two years of Patient Experience/Patient Access experience will be required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 3 years of team lead/supervisory experience.
  • Oncology experience.
  • 2 or more years of healthcare experience.
  • Strong analytical skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite systems - Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Excellent communication skills, including reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
