Embedded as an Academic Advisor at South Puget Sound Community College (SPSCC) and an Admissions Advisor at University of Washington Tacoma (UWT), the person in this role will advise, recruit, and create programming to support students interested in transferring from South Puget Sound Community College to University of Washington Tacoma. The position has responsibilities at both campuses, working three days per week directly with SPSCC and two days a week with UW Tacoma. The Advisor implements an advising and recruitment plan for SPSCC to UWT transfer students. The advisor will assist students in course selection, understanding admission requirements, and navigating the transfer application and enrollment process. The advisor will deploy a personalized approach to ensure high application and yield rates. The advisor works closely with campus stakeholders at both South Puget Sound Community College and UW Tacoma to execute strategies to meet mutually established enrollment goals. The advisor reviews and makes admissions recommendations for undergraduate admission applications. This position has significant impact on South Puget Sound Community College transfer student outreach and recruitment for University of Washington Tacoma leading to the attainment of overall enrollment goals.
