About The Position

Are you interested in putting your plumbing skills to good use, and learning more about fire suppression systems in commercial and residential buildings? If so, this might be a perfect job for you! UAF Facilities Services is looking for a CT1 or CT2 sprinkler technician to join our team. Duties include basic testing, inspections, and maintenance on building sprinkler systems, creating compliance reports, and working closely with other shops and service contractors to ensure the safety of the UAF community. The successful candidate will have some basic plumbing skills and experience, plus an aptitude to learn and grow your skills. Requirements

May possess journeyman level certification.
Requires apprentice level or other equivalent certification appropriate to the specific trade; with a minimum of three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving record in compliance with UA Safe Driving Criteria.
NICET Level I Certification or Alaska IIB Sprinkler permit or ability to obtain either a NICET Level I Certification or State of Alaska IIB Sprinkler permit within one year of employment is required.
Must be able to pass a CJIS background check.
