About The Position

The Sprinkler Remodel/Interior Projects Foreman is responsible for the installation of fire sprinkler systems in various types of buildings, including residential, commercial, and industrial. This role involves overseeing and directing fitters and helpers to ensure project completion within deadlines and budget constraints. The foreman must ensure that all projects are executed flawlessly, maintain a clean work environment, and communicate effectively with project managers and team members. The position requires a strong commitment to safety and adherence to company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of fire sprinkler piping systems and fabrication methods
  • Understanding of fire protection installation requirements
  • Ability to read fire protection blueprints
  • Minimum education of High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • American Fire Sprinkler Association training program for fire sprinkler foreman preferred
  • Nicet II & III certification preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a fire sprinkler helper preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a fire sprinkler apprentice/fitter preferred

Responsibilities

  • Installation of fire sprinkler systems in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings
  • Installation, service, and troubleshooting of automatic fire sprinkler systems and related equipment
  • Oversee, direct, and delegate tasks to fitters and helpers to meet project deadlines
  • Complete assigned projects in a timely manner and attempt to keep under budget
  • Ensure all projects are done flawlessly
  • Work independently on projects
  • Interpret installation requirements from project drawings
  • Update daily installation progress notes on job contract drawings
  • Communicate change orders to the fire sprinkler manager or project manager for approval
  • Thread and groove pipe, cut hanger rods, climb ladders, hang pipe, read blueprints, and layout work
  • Present weekly toolbox talks to employees
  • Provide a safe working environment for employees
  • Complete other duties as assigned
