About The Position

In this role you will help save lives by assisting in the inspection of fire sprinkler systems. You will also be stepping onto a noble career path - to be a life safety professional. Inspectors are responsible for conducting routine inspections, testing, service, and preventative maintenance on Electrical, Sprinkler or Suppression life safety product lines.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service.
  • Able to work well with others.
  • Self-starter who can eventually work with little to no supervision.
  • Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and an ability to learn quickly.
  • Basic computer skills – Microsoft (Excel, Word, Outlook) along with SmartPhone skills.
  • Able to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 30 lbs.
  • Must be able to climb ladders and willing to work with scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet.
  • Understanding this may include working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings etc.
  • Able to adhere to, implement, and always follow safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company requirements.
  • Able to pass a pre-employment background and drug test.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and operational/product manuals.
  • Experience with hand tools and barcode scanners.
  • NICET II required.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting customers to keep their buildings and occupants safe and compliant by inspecting and testing fire alarm systems and associated devices to ensure they are fully functional and operational.
  • Completing inspection reports and documents with proper coding through communication devices such as laptop computers and/or hard copy.
  • Following and maintaining a highly structured inspection schedule.
  • Inputting, retrieving, and archiving inspection documents via laptop computer.
  • Completing assigned inspections on time.
  • Performing duties with the safety of yourself and your colleagues and customers in mind 100% of the time.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
