We are a full service, single-source contractor providing design, installation, service, and inspection of fire protection, suppression, sprinkler, and alarm systems. Taking a collaborative approach, our team works closely with clients to develop the right solutions to help ensure people, facilities, and overall businesses are prepared to survive and minimize a fire related event. Job Summary Job Title: Sprinkler Foreman Job Summary: eTEC Fire Protection seeks a Sprinkler Foreman, Fitters, and helpers with experience in Commercial Construction in Richmond, Virginia. This position will work from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm Monday -Friday.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree GED.
Ability to use power tools and equipment commonly used in the construction trade in a safe manner.
Physical activities including standing, balancing, climbing stairs and ladders, walking and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. are required.

Nice To Haves

Prior supervisory experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

Lead foreman for crew
Select type and size of pipe and related materials according to job plans and specifications.
Inspect work sites to determine presence of obstructions.
Plan sequence of installation to avoid obstructions and activities of other construction workers.
Cut pipe, using hacksaw, pipe cutters, hammer and chisel, cutting torch, and pipe cutting machine.
Thread pipe, using threading machine.
Bend pipe by hand or with pipe-bending machine.
Assemble and install variety of metal and non-metal pipe and pipe fittings, including those made of brass, copper, and plastic.
Join piping by means of threaded, grooved, or cemented joints.
Secure pipes to structure with clamps, brackets, and hangers, using hand tools.
Test piping system for leaks by increasing pressure in pipes and observing gauges attached to pipes for indication of leaks.
Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy.
Make decisions based on measurable criteria.
Visualize objects in three dimensions from plans and drawings.
Lift and carry objects of varying weights
Detect, recognize and respond to dangerous conditions or situations.
