About The Position
We are seeking motivated individuals to join our team as a Sprinkler Fitter Apprentice through Local 669. This is an excellent opportunity to build a long-term career in the fire protection industry while earning, learning, and advancing your skills. As an apprentice, you will work alongside experienced professionals installing, maintaining, and repairing fire sprinkler systems in commercial and industrial settings.
Requirements
- Must meet Local 669 apprenticeship program requirements
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to the job sites
- Ability to lift, carry, and move materials and equipment
- Willingness to travel as needed throughout the Indianapolis metro area
- HS Diploma or GED
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Interest in hands-on, mechanical work
- Ability to work in construction and job site environments
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Comfortable working at heights and in various conditions
Nice To Haves
- Basic mechanical aptitude is a plus
Responsibilities
- Assist with installation of fire sprinkler systems in new and existing buildings
- Support inspection, testing, and maintenance of sprinkler systems
- Work with piping, valves, and related system components
- Read and follow blueprints and job specifications
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Follow all safety standards and job site procedures
- Travel to job sites and work as part of a crew
