As an Apprentice Sprinkler Fitter, you'll work alongside licensed journeymen to install, modify, and service fire sprinkler systems in commercial and residential buildings. This is a hands-on, learn-while-you-earn role tied to a registered apprenticeship program.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required
Enrollment in, or eligibility for, a UA (United Association) or equivalent registered apprenticeship program
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., work at heights, and stand for extended periods
Valid driver’s license preferred
Basic mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn
Reliable attendance — this role requires consistent on-site presence

Responsibilities

Assisting with the installation of sprinkler piping, heads, hangers, and related components following approved blueprints and NFPA 13/13R/13D standards
Cutting, threading, grooving, and joining pipe using hand and power tools
Helping with system testing, flushing, and inspections
Maintaining a clean and safe job site in compliance with OSHA regulations
Attending all required apprenticeship classes and completing coursework on schedule
Performing other duties as assigned by your supervisor
