About The Position
Allied Fire Protection is seeking a motivated and dependable Sprinkler Construction Fitter to join our growing team in Houston, TX. This role is ideal for individuals looking to build a long-term career in the fire protection industry while gaining hands-on experience installing and maintaining sprinkler systems across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. You’ll work alongside experienced foremen in a supportive, safety-focused environment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Basic math and reading skills
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision
- Comfortable with physical labor, climbing ladders, and working in various environments
- Ability to read measurements accurately (tape measure/scales)
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and reliability
Nice To Haves
- 1+ year of experience in fire sprinkler systems or construction-related roles
- Familiarity with blueprints and construction layouts
- Experience using hand and power tools
Responsibilities
- Assist foreman with installation, service, and troubleshooting of fire sprinkler systems
- Support installation across residential, commercial, and industrial job sites
- Learn to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and layouts
- Perform hands-on tasks such as pipe threading, grooving, cutting rods, and hanging pipe
- Safely operate tools, lifts, ladders, and other job equipment
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites
- Follow all safety procedures and report incidents as required
- Complete timesheets and assist with material and inventory tracking
- Support maintenance of tools, trucks, and equipment
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
- Work overtime, travel, or be on-call as needed
