Copeland is seeking forward-thinking engineering interns to join our multidisciplinary teams focused on electronics systems, product development, and regulatory compliance. This internship provides hands-on experience in designing, testing, and validating innovative technologies while ensuring alignment with industry standards and customer needs.   • Assist with customer samples and special compressor builds with instrumentation.
  • Support system testing including refrigeration circuitry, controls development, and performance analysis.
  • Participate in the design and testing of electronic controls such as thermostats, furnace controls, building controls, and cold chain monitoring solutions.
  • Generate schematics, build and test circuit boards, and contribute to circuit design.
  • Collaborate with product management and sales to define product requirements and develop innovative concepts.
  • Communicate project status and requirements across local and global teams.
  • Create engineering documentation including assembly drawings, installation instructions, and test specifications.
  • Design and execute feasibility studies and test plans for new products.
  • Develop and implement compliance programs aligned with industry regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct internal and external audits to identify and resolve compliance issues.
  • Provide technical guidance on compliance matters across product design, manufacturing, and operations.
  • Investigate non-compliance incidents and support corrective actions.
  • Create and deliver training programs on compliance standards and best practices.
  • Currently enrolled and pursuing a bachelor's degree in related field(s).
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Anticipated Graduation of December 2026 or May 2027.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role.
  • Experience or interest in analog/digital circuit design.
  • Familiarity with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and microcontroller firmware development.
  • Understanding of regulatory standards such as FCC, CE, RoHS, REACH, ANSI, UL, IEC (or willingness to learn).
  • Strong documentation and report writing skills.
