About The Position

NAFSA Association of International Educators is the world’s largest association of professionals committed exclusively to advancing international education and exchange. The association provides professional development and learning opportunities, promotes research and knowledge, and convenes conferences and collaborative dialogues. The Marketing team coordinates NAFSA’s Annual Conference social media partnering with the annual conference program team, meetings team, and media relations. Spring 2026 Intern Projects (February through Mid-May): As a part of our team, you will engage in various projects and gain valuable experience in nonprofit event and program management.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented: take initiative and manage tasks efficiently.
  • Positive service and collaborative attitude: provide excellent customer service to staff.
  • Strong understanding of various marketing channels and social media platforms and their functionalities.
  • Creative thinking and ability to generate engaging content.
  • Basic graphic design skills or proficiency with design tools, including Canva.
  • Analytical skills to interpret data and track campaign performance.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • To be considered, you must be able to demonstrate that you are authorized to work in the US without requiring NAFSA’s sponsorship. We welcome students with valid work authorization wishing to complete their experiential learning through their established curricular practical training (CPT), optional practical training (OPT) or academic training eligibility.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Senior Director, Marketing, along with partners in Conference Program, Meetings, Media Relations, and program teams with marketing support and execution.
  • Generate creative and relevant graphics, copy, and social media posts, supporting the NAFSA 2026 Annual Conference & Expo and additional NAFSA programs and products, aligned with brand guidelines.
  • Assist in brainstorming and executing creative marketing tactics to promote registration, program engagement, and partner support.
  • Support the team with engagement metrics tracking and report creation.
  • Help organize marketing assets and member stories.
