About The Position

The Spring Athletic Coaching Positions at Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy for the 2024-2025 school year involve coaching various spring sports, including baseball, softball, track, and more. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in education or a related field.
• Current Coaching Permit issued by the CT State Department of Education.
• Valid First Aid & CPR certification.
• Current Concussion Training or Refresher Course (Module 15).
• Three years successful experience in the identified coaching area.
• Successful experience in working with staff, students, and parents in an urban setting.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of Hartford Public Schools' regulations regarding coaching and athletics.
• Experience and knowledge with CIAC and NFHS regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing development and improvement of coaching student-athletes.
• Coordinate, plan, evaluate, and implement athletic programs.
• Help each student achieve a high level of skill in their respective sport.
• Establish written rules and regulations for the team.
• Enforce discipline and sportsmanlike behavior at all times.
• Coach individual participants in necessary skills for achievement in the sport.
• Plan and schedule regular practice programs in season with the Supervisor of Athletics.
• Work closely with the Supervisor in scheduling interscholastic contests.
• Recommend purchases of equipment, supplies, and uniforms as appropriate.
• Maintain and complete necessary attendance forms, insurance records, and accident reports.
• Oversee safety conditions of the facility or areas where events are conducted.
• Provide for orderly distribution and collection of all athletic equipment.
