About The Position

The Spring 2027 Intern (Tax & Audit) position at Pinion is designed for accounting students currently enrolled in any university or college in the state of Montana. This internship will start on January 4, 2027, and end on April 15, 2027, with the possibility of full-time or part-time work. Interns will gain broad business exposure in a multi-service consulting firm, working alongside experienced professionals and applying their education to real-life situations. This is a paid internship, and successful interns may be considered for future employment opportunities.

Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Accounting or a related field, or in an Accounting certificate program.
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher in major and overall.
  • Availability to work 24 hours (part-time) or 40 hours (full-time) per week.
  • Availability to relocate to the internship location.
  • This role is not eligible for employment sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Seeking to meet sit-eligibility requirements for the CPA exam.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses.
  • Assist in financial statement preparation, auditing, general accounting, and special projects.
  • Work on projects applying academic knowledge, managing priorities and deadlines, participating in client meetings, and developing new skills.
  • Learn new technology tools to interpret data efficiently and accurately.
  • Build long-lasting relationships with intern peers and other professionals.
