About The Position

Our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) Clinic is excited to offer Clinical Internship opportunities beginning in Spring 2026! The mission of the Clinical Internship program at Arbour is to provide high quality training and supervision to students with regard to the role and responsibilities of a counselor/therapist while functioning in a multi-leveled, multi-faceted and multidisciplinary Behavioral Healthcare System. We aim to provide student interns with clinical experience in a clinical setting in which quality care and documentation are offered. The hope is that interns, having benefited from their experiences at Arbour, will move on to positions within and outside of Arbour in which they will provide meaningful and quality care to those in need.

Requirements

  • 2nd Year Master Students/2nd Internship (or equivalent)
  • Available 24 Hours/week – Three days a week 8:30am-5pm
  • Pass a CORI and drug test, as well as other pre-employment documentation
  • Possess appropriate citizenship work documentation

Responsibilities

  • Experience with Groups, Intakes, Case Management, and Crisis Management
  • Lead a group, conduct an intake, manage a case and deal with a variety of crisis situations
  • Participate in In-Services discussing various topics including legal issues, ethics in mental health, resume writing, and job search
  • Receive weekly supervision with an LMHC as required for graduation and licensure
  • Access additional on-the-spot supervision by supervisor and other clinicians
  • Conduct clinical assessments and diagnose a variety of mental health and substance use disorders
  • Develop individualized treatment plans
  • Facilitate Group Therapy including Psychotherapy, Expressive Therapy, and Psychoeducation
  • Implement individual therapy interventions
  • Manage case management and aftercare planning/referrals
  • Administer and execute programmatic daily operations for a higher level of care
  • Collaborate with professionals in a multidisciplinary clinical treatment team
  • Handle insurance authorizations, level of care assessments, and medical necessity justification
  • Conduct crisis management, risk assessments, and safety planning
  • Present cases with diagnostic conversations and education
